Krithika Subramanian obtained her doctorate in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, in Miami, Florida. Her doctoral thesis research focused on homologous recombination, and in particular, delineating the structural and enzymatic mechanism of action of Lambda Exonuclease.
Following her PhD, Krithika continued her studies as a post-doctoral candidate at the Winship Cancer Institute, Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Krithika’s postdoctoral research focused on the epigenetic basis of human carcinogenesis, especially in breast cancer.
Krithika completed the “Medical Writing: Protocols, Reports, Summaries and Submission” course from the University of California, San Diego Extension in June 2012.
Throughout her studies, Krithika has cultivated her commitment to communicating her work and that of other scientists. She won the Betty Schultz Award for Best Oral Presentation by a graduate student in May 2002. She was awarded the Burris Foundation Breast Cancer Research Award for excellence in postdoctoral research in Breast Cancer in 2007.
Krithika brings over 15 years of experience in biomedical writing and editing and expertise in a broad range of clinical and non-clinical subject areas. To learn more about projects that she can assist with, check out the Services page.
